The Pemberton is built on a single premise: that the most uncomplicated form of outdoor relaxation is a seat that moves in all four directions, held from a single point above. No frame to assemble. No base to position. Two ropes, one seat, and whatever overhead structure you choose to hang it from — a pergola beam, a sturdy tree branch, a vaulted conservatory ceiling.

The mix-brown PE rattan seat is compact and robust — 69 cm wide, rated to 180 kg, and light enough at 4 kg to be unhooked and stored in seconds. The 2.8m ropes allow the seat to sit naturally at 30–40 cm from the ground when fixed at 1.65–1.75 m overhead.

The 4-way swing motion — as opposed to the back-and-forth of a conventional swing — is the detail that makes the Pemberton what it is. It drifts. It responds. It does exactly what a swing is supposed to do.

Who pays for return shipping?

If you are returning an item because you've changed your mind, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. However, if your item arrived damaged, faulty, or incorrect, we will arrange and cover collection at no cost to you.

My order arrived damaged — what should I do?

How long does a refund take?

What is the difference between natural and synthetic rattan?

Natural rattan is sourced from the rattan palm and brings organic warmth and texture to an interior. Tonal variation between pieces is a natural characteristic, not a defect. It is best suited to indoor environments, away from prolonged moisture or direct sunlight.

Synthetic (PE) rattan is a premium polyethylene weave engineered to resist UV, moisture, and heavy use without fading or warping. It has all the refinement of natural rattan and is suitable for both indoors and outdoors. Each product listing specifies which material it uses.

Can I use my furniture outdoors?

Only pieces specifically described as suitable for outdoor use in their product listing should be placed outside. These are made with synthetic PE rattan, which is weatherproof and UV-resistant. Natural rattan pieces are indoor only — prolonged exposure to moisture, rain, or direct sunlight will cause them to weaken and deteriorate.

How do I clean and look after my rattan furniture?

Both natural and synthetic rattan wipe clean with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. For natural rattan, keep it away from excess moisture and store indoors. Do I need to assemble my furniture?
