Orders & Payment
What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa and Mastercard, as well as Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and Shop Pay. All transactions are SSL-encrypted for your security.

Will I receive a confirmation after ordering?

Yes. You'll receive an order confirmation by email immediately after checkout, followed by a shipping confirmation — including your tracking number — once your order has been dispatched from our warehouse.

If neither email arrives within a few hours, please check your spam folder or contact us.

Can I modify or cancel my order?

We process orders quickly, so please contact us as soon as possible if you need to make a change. We'll do our best to accommodate amendments before dispatch, but we cannot guarantee modifications once an order has been picked.

If the order has already shipped, our standard 30-day return policy applies.

Do you offer gift wrapping or personalisation?

We don't currently offer gift wrapping, but our packaging is thoughtfully presented. If you're purchasing as a gift and have a specific request, feel free to get in touch and we'll do what we can.

Delivery
How long will my order take to arrive?

All orders are dispatched from our UK warehouse within 1–2 business days of payment confirmation. Once shipped, standard tracked delivery takes 3–7 working days.

In total, you can expect your order within 4–9 working days from the date of purchase. Orders placed on weekends or bank holidays are processed the following business day.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery is free on all orders, with no minimum spend. Whether you're ordering a single side table or a full garden set, there are no hidden shipping costs at checkout.

How do I track my order?

Once your order is dispatched, you'll receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking number and a link to the carrier's tracking page.

If you haven't received your tracking details within 3 business days of ordering, please check your spam folder first, then contact us and we'll look into it straight away.

My order hasn't arrived — what should I do?

If your order hasn't arrived within 9 working days of placing it, please contact us with your order number. We'll investigate with the carrier and, if the parcel is confirmed lost, we'll arrange either a replacement or a full refund — whichever you prefer.

What if my delivery arrives damaged?

If the outer packaging is visibly damaged upon delivery, please refuse the parcel and let us know immediately at cs@rattanandrefined.co.uk.

If you only notice damage after opening, contact us within 48 hours with photographs of the item and packaging. We'll arrange a replacement or refund at no cost to you.

Do you deliver outside the UK?

Currently we deliver to UK addresses only. We hope to expand in the future — if you'd like to be notified, feel free to reach out and we'll add you to the list.

Returns & Refunds
What is your returns policy?

We offer a 30-day return window from the date you receive your order. Items must be unused, in their original condition and packaging, and in a resaleable state.

We don't require a reason — simply contact us within 30 days and we'll guide you through the process.

How do I start a return?

Email us at cs@rattanandrefined.co.uk with your order number and we'll confirm your return and provide the returns address. Please do not send items back without contacting us first — unauthorised returns cannot be processed.

We recommend using a tracked shipping service to ensure safe return.

Who pays for return shipping?

For change-of-mind returns, return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility. We recommend using a tracked service and retaining proof of postage.

If an item is faulty, defective, or we sent the wrong product, we cover the return costs in full.

When will I receive my refund?

Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll process your refund within 14 days. Funds are returned to your original payment method. Depending on your bank, it may take a few additional business days to appear in your account.

Can I exchange an item for a different one?

Yes. Contact us within 30 days and we'll arrange an exchange where possible. The easiest process is typically to return the original item for a refund and place a new order for the piece you'd prefer.

What's the difference between natural and synthetic rattan?

Natural rattan is a palm-derived material with a warm, organic character. It's best suited to indoor use and sheltered spaces, as prolonged exposure to moisture can affect its structure over time. Each piece carries natural tonal variation — no two are identical.

Synthetic rattan (PE rattan) is engineered to resist UV fading, moisture, and temperature changes. It's ideal for outdoor use year-round and is significantly easier to maintain.

Can I use natural rattan furniture outdoors?

Natural rattan is not recommended for permanent outdoor use. Exposure to rain, frost, and direct sunlight will degrade the fibres over time. It can be used in covered outdoor spaces such as a veranda or sheltered pergola during dry weather, but should be brought inside during colder or wetter months.

For outdoor furniture built to last, we'd recommend our synthetic rattan pieces from The Garden Room and The Conservatory collections.

How do I care for my rattan furniture?

Natural rattan: Dust regularly with a soft cloth or brush. Wipe spills immediately with a slightly damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Avoid placing in direct sunlight for extended periods, as this can dry and crack the fibres. A light application of linseed oil once or twice a year helps maintain suppleness.

Synthetic rattan: Wipe down with a damp cloth and mild soap. Rinse with clean water. No specialist products required.

Do your pieces require assembly?

Most pieces require minimal assembly — typically attaching legs or a base, with fixings and instructions included. Larger sets such as lounge or dining sets may require slightly more assembly but remain straightforward. Full details are noted on each product page.

Are your products true to the photographs?

We photograph our products carefully to represent them as accurately as possible. Please note that natural rattan carries inherent tonal variation — colour and texture may differ slightly between pieces and from screen to screen. If you have questions about a specific product before ordering, we're happy to help.
