    The Berkeley Corner Lounge Set is an 8-seat outdoor corner sofa in a honey-toned PE rattan weave, with beige cushions, a glass-top coffee table and two cushioned ottoman stools. The L-shaped sofa occupies a 248 × 185cm footprint — wide enough for a standard UK patio or terrace, with the corner piece setting the angle between the two straight sections.

    The PE rattan weave is synthetic — UV-stabilised and water-resistant, it holds its tone through rain, frost and direct sun without fading or warping in the way natural rattan does. The two ottoman stools sit in front of the sofa as footrests, or pull out as occasional seating when the set reaches capacity. The coffee table has a dark-tinted glass top.

    All cushion covers are removable. The sofa assembles from modular sections — no fixed joints, the pieces hold together by their own weight and configuration.

    Corner sofa sets promise a lot. The Berkeley delivers — an 8-seat L-shaped PE rattan lounge set in honey-brown wicker with a tempered glass coffee table and two ottoman stools, sized at 248x185cm for a garden footprint that fills a space without crowding it.

    The rattan wicker is synthetic PE — UV-treated, weatherproof, and dimensionally stable through seasonal temperature changes without the maintenance natural rattan requires. The sofa cushions are thick and included; the covers are removable. The glass coffee table top is tempered and sits at a height that works for both drinks and plates without requiring anyone to lean forward.     Returns & Refunds

    You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return, with no need to give a reason. Items must be returned unused, unassembled, undamaged, and in their original packaging with proof of purchase. Please contact us at cs@rattanandrefined.co.uk before sending anything back — returns sent without prior approval cannot be processed.
    If you are returning an item because you've changed your mind, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. However, if your item arrived damaged, faulty, or incorrect, we will arrange and cover collection at no cost to you.
    Please email us at cs@rattanandrefined.co.uk as soon as possible with your order number and clear photos of the damage. We will assess the situation and arrange a replacement, exchange, or full refund — including free collection of the damaged item.
    Once your returned item has been received and inspected, we will notify you by email. If approved, your refund is processed to your original payment method. Depending on your bank or payment provider, refunds typically appear within 7 to 14 working days of us receiving the return.

    Products & Materials

    Natural rattan is sourced from the rattan palm and brings organic warmth and texture to an interior. Tonal variation between pieces is a natural characteristic, not a defect. It is best suited to indoor environments, away from prolonged moisture or direct sunlight.

    Synthetic (PE) rattan is a premium polyethylene weave engineered to resist UV, moisture, and heavy use without fading or warping. It has all the refinement of natural rattan and is suitable for both indoors and outdoors. Each product listing specifies which material it uses.
    Only pieces specifically described as suitable for outdoor use in their product listing should be placed outside. These are made with synthetic PE rattan, which is weatherproof and UV-resistant. Natural rattan pieces are indoor only — prolonged exposure to moisture, rain, or direct sunlight will cause them to weaken and deteriorate.
    Both natural and synthetic rattan wipe clean with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. For natural rattan, keep it away from excess moisture and store indoors. For synthetic rattan garden pieces, a gentle clean with soapy water and a soft brush is ideal. Rattan naturally improves in character over time with light use.
    Most pieces require light assembly. Each product listing specifies whether assembly is required and how involved it is. Clear, illustrated instructions are included in every box. No specialist tools are needed — a standard screwdriver is sufficient for most items. Assembly details are also listed in the Dimensions & Materials section of each product page.
    We photograph our pieces in natural light to represent colour and texture as accurately as possible. For natural rattan and wood, tonal variation is an inherent characteristic of the material — no two pieces are identical, and subtle differences in grain or weave are a sign of authenticity, not a defect. Screen calibration can also affect how colours appear, but we aim to represent every piece honestly.
