Bistro Set
The Richmond sits between two categories without quite belonging to either. It is a bistro set by configuration — two chairs, one table, sized for two — but the chairs themselves are something else. At 89.5 cm tall with a 58.5 cm seat depth, they have the enveloping quality of a proper lounge chair rather than the upright perch of a conventional bistro design. The cushioned seat and padded back make the distinction clear the moment you sit down. The brushed brown PE rattan is weatherproof and UV-resistant — its tone stable through the seasons. The galvanized metal frame beneath supports up to 160 kg per chair without flex or movement. The 5mm glass table sits at 60 cm — high enough to hold a drink at a natural arm's reach, low enough to keep the arrangement open and relaxed. Machine-washable cushion covers, zip closure, 180g/㎡ polyester. A set that requires no ceremony to maintain.
The Richmond armchair measures 58.5 cm from front to back — a depth closer to a lounge chair than a conventional bistro seat. It supports the full length of the thigh and invites a properly reclined position, rather than the upright perch that most compact outdoor chairs produce.
The frame is galvanized metal tube — steel treated to resist rust and corrosion from the inside out, rather than a surface coating that weathers over time. Each chair is rated to 160 kg; the table to 50 kg. The construction accounts for outdoor conditions rather than simply tolerating them.
The seat cushion covers are 180g/㎡ polyester — a weight durable enough for outdoor use but soft enough for extended sitting. The zip closure allows the covers to come off entirely for machine washing. A practical detail that most outdoor cushion covers still manage to get wrong.
