The Langham occupies a category of its own. At 96 cm across the interior seat, it is generous enough for two — or for one person who has decided, with complete justification, that they need more space than a conventional chair provides. The egg shape wraps around the sitter, creating a sense of enclosure that is rare in outdoor furniture and almost impossible to find in something that also swivels 360°.

What is the difference between natural and synthetic rattan?

Natural rattan is sourced from the rattan palm and brings organic warmth and texture to an interior. Tonal variation between pieces is a natural characteristic, not a defect. It is best suited to indoor environments, away from prolonged moisture or direct sunlight.

Synthetic (PE) rattan is a premium polyethylene weave engineered to resist UV, moisture, and heavy use without fading or warping. It has all the refinement of natural rattan and is suitable for both indoors and outdoors. Each product listing specifies which material it uses.

Can I use my furniture outdoors?

Only pieces specifically described as suitable for outdoor use in their product listing should be placed outside. These are made with synthetic PE rattan, which is weatherproof and UV-resistant. Natural rattan pieces are indoor only — prolonged exposure to moisture, rain, or direct sunlight will cause them to weaken and deteriorate.

How do I clean and look after my rattan furniture?
