Hanging Egg Chair
The Eden begins with a simple idea: that the best seat in any garden or room should feel entirely apart from it. Suspended from a powder-coated steel arc, the PE rattan basket hangs free — a private space within a shared one. The gentle sway that comes with sitting is not a flaw in the design. It is the point of it. The materials were chosen for longevity as well as appearance. PE rattan holds its colour and structure through rain, sun, and frost — making the Eden as suited to a covered patio in October as to a garden terrace in July. The powder-coated stand will not rust. The dust cover, included, extends the life of the chair through whatever the season brings. Three cushions — seat, backrest, headrest — are fitted before the chair arrives. The covers come off for cleaning. The stand folds for storage. The Eden is, in every sense, built to stay.
The basket is woven from PE (polyethylene) rattan — a synthetic fibre engineered to resist UV fading, moisture, and temperature variation. Unlike natural rattan, it requires no seasonal treatment and can remain outdoors year-round without deteriorating.
Three cushions are included — seat, backrest, and headrest — each filled with thick foam and covered in a fabric that zips off for washing. The ergonomic shaping encourages a reclined, deeply relaxed position within the basket.
The powder-coated steel arc stand is freestanding — no ceiling joists, no drilling, no structural assessment required. Anti-slip feet protect indoor floors and the stand folds flat for storage. Rated to 150 kg with reinforced chain hanging hardware.
