The Apothecary is a wall-mounted cabinet in solid bamboo with woven rattan cane door panels — two doors enclosing an adjustable-shelf interior, plus an open shelf at the base for frequently accessed items. Wall Cabinet
Most wall cabinets operate on the assumption that what goes inside will never change. The Apothecary was designed differently: the internal shelf repositions at 8 cm intervals, so the two compartments can be set to the actual height of what is stored — a tall diffuser, a row of skincare, a stack of hand towels — without leaving wasted space above or forcing items to sit at an angle. The open shelf at the base runs the full 55 cm internal width and remains unobstructed by the doors. It handles the items reached for daily: hand soap, a small candle, objects that do not need to be contained but do need a surface. Above it, two woven rattan cane doors close flush on a magnetic catch, keeping the interior quiet and concealed. The bamboo frame sits at 20.5 cm deep — close to the wall, casting almost no shadow. A piece that organises the room without visually dominating it.
The internal shelf repositions in 8 cm increments along the cabinet height — allowing the two compartments to be sized around what is actually stored in them. The upper section can be set tall enough for a pump dispenser or diffuser bottle; the lower section shortened to a row of smaller items. No tools required. The shelf moves in seconds and can be reconfigured as contents change.
The shelf at the base sits outside the door zone — 55 cm wide and 13.5 cm tall, unobstructed at the front. It holds the items used daily without requiring the cabinet to be opened: hand soap, a small plant, a candle, or the products reached for as a matter of routine. The separation between what is contained and what is immediately accessible is structural — not an afterthought.
Each door closes on a concealed magnetic catch set into the bamboo frame — no visible latch hardware, no click or rattle on the door face. The close is silent and flush, holding the rattan cane panel doors flat against the frame without adjustment over time. The bamboo knob sits centred on each door and is the only hardware element visible when the cabinet is closed.
