    The Norbury is a 150cm sideboard in a warm walnut-tone finish, arranged in three columns: two hinged rattan-panel doors on the outer sections and three central drawers. Each door opens to a cabinet interior of 45cm wide by 67cm tall, with one height-adjustable shelf that divides the space into two compartments. The shelf adjusts in 3cm increments across five positions — giving a usable range from a single tall space to two equal compartments of roughly 31cm each.

    The body is a veneered board construction with a walnut-grain finish on outer surfaces. The six legs are gold-tone metal cylinders, giving the piece a mid-century stance at 90cm tall — a usable sideboard height for dining rooms, living rooms, or hallways. The rattan panels fill the full face of each door in a warm honey-toned woven mesh that sits against the brown walnut grain.

    The three central drawers run on metal slides. Each drawer interior measures H11 × W34 × D49cm — deep enough for folded textiles, books, or bulkier stored items. Round gold-tone knobs are fitted to each drawer and door. Cabinet doors close on magnetic catches. The piece ships in two packages.

    Returns & Refunds

    You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return, with no need to give a reason. Items must be returned unused, unassembled, undamaged, and in their original packaging with proof of purchase. Please contact us at cs@rattanandrefined.co.uk before sending anything back — returns sent without prior approval cannot be processed.
    If you are returning an item because you've changed your mind, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. However, if your item arrived damaged, faulty, or incorrect, we will arrange and cover collection at no cost to you.
    Please email us at cs@rattanandrefined.co.uk as soon as possible with your order number and clear photos of the damage. We will assess the situation and arrange a replacement, exchange, or full refund — including free collection of the damaged item.
    Once your returned item has been received and inspected, we will notify you by email. If approved, your refund is processed to your original payment method. Depending on your bank or payment provider, refunds typically appear within 7 to 14 working days of us receiving the return.

    Products & Materials

    Natural rattan is sourced from the rattan palm and brings organic warmth and texture to an interior. Tonal variation between pieces is a natural characteristic, not a defect. It is best suited to indoor environments, away from prolonged moisture or direct sunlight.

    Synthetic (PE) rattan is a premium polyethylene weave engineered to resist UV, moisture, and heavy use without fading or warping. It has all the refinement of natural rattan and is suitable for both indoors and outdoors. Each product listing specifies which material it uses.
    Only pieces specifically described as suitable for outdoor use in their product listing should be placed outside. These are made with synthetic PE rattan, which is weatherproof and UV-resistant. Natural rattan pieces are indoor only — prolonged exposure to moisture, rain, or direct sunlight will cause them to weaken and deteriorate.
    Both natural and synthetic rattan wipe clean with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. For natural rattan, keep it away from excess moisture and store indoors. For synthetic rattan garden pieces, a gentle clean with soapy water and a soft brush is ideal. Rattan naturally improves in character over time with light use.
    Most pieces require light assembly. Each product listing specifies whether assembly is required and how involved it is. Clear, illustrated instructions are included in every box. No specialist tools are needed — a standard screwdriver is sufficient for most items. Assembly details are also listed in the Dimensions & Materials section of each product page.
    We photograph our pieces in natural light to represent colour and texture as accurately as possible. For natural rattan and wood, tonal variation is an inherent characteristic of the material — no two pieces are identical, and subtle differences in grain or weave are a sign of authenticity, not a defect. Screen calibration can also affect how colours appear, but we aim to represent every piece honestly.
