    Design details

    The Dalton is a 200cm TV unit in a dark walnut-toned finish, sized to support screens up to 90 inches. The layout divides into two sections across the width: a two-door cabinet on the left and an open-shelf-and-drawer column on the right. Each door panel carries a woven rattan mesh inset — a fine-grid natural weave in a warm honey tone that sits against the dark walnut body. The right section has two open shelves stacked above two drawers.

    The carcass is particleboard throughout, with a wear-resistant and scratch-resistant surface in dark walnut tone. The four legs are solid wood in a tapered mid-century profile, matching the body finish. Doors run on cushioned soft-close hinges. Drawers run on metal slide rails. Knobs are round turned wood in the same walnut finish used across the piece.

    At 200cm wide and 49.5cm tall, the unit sits at a standard TV-stand height with 37cm of surface depth — enough for a soundbar or cable equipment to sit flush without projecting past the screen edge. The raised leg profile allows access underneath for robotic vacuums and prevents moisture contact with the base.

    A closer look at The Dalton Walnut TV Unit

    Most TV units are designed around the screen, then apologise for it. The Dalton starts from a different position — a 200cm dark walnut unit with rattan mesh door panels that make the cabinet itself worth looking at, whether the screen above is on or not.

    The two hinged doors have woven rattan mesh panels — open enough to pass IR signals through for remotes without opening the doors, close enough to conceal the equipment behind them. Two drawers and two open shelves handle the rest. The frame is particleboard with a dark walnut veneer; the tapered legs are solid wood in a matching tone. Soft-close hinges mean the doors land quietly. The unit supports screens up to 90 inches and ships in two packages. Net weight is 31.9kg.

    Returns & Refunds

    You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return, with no need to give a reason. Items must be returned unused, unassembled, undamaged, and in their original packaging with proof of purchase. Please contact us at cs@rattanandrefined.co.uk before sending anything back — returns sent without prior approval cannot be processed.
    If you are returning an item because you've changed your mind, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. However, if your item arrived damaged, faulty, or incorrect, we will arrange and cover collection at no cost to you.
    Please email us at cs@rattanandrefined.co.uk as soon as possible with your order number and clear photos of the damage. We will assess the situation and arrange a replacement, exchange, or full refund — including free collection of the damaged item.
    Once your returned item has been received and inspected, we will notify you by email. If approved, your refund is processed to your original payment method. Depending on your bank or payment provider, refunds typically appear within 7 to 14 working days of us receiving the return.

    Products & Materials

    Natural rattan is sourced from the rattan palm and brings organic warmth and texture to an interior. Tonal variation between pieces is a natural characteristic, not a defect. It is best suited to indoor environments, away from prolonged moisture or direct sunlight.

    Synthetic (PE) rattan is a premium polyethylene weave engineered to resist UV, moisture, and heavy use without fading or warping. It has all the refinement of natural rattan and is suitable for both indoors and outdoors. Each product listing specifies which material it uses.
    Only pieces specifically described as suitable for outdoor use in their product listing should be placed outside. These are made with synthetic PE rattan, which is weatherproof and UV-resistant. Natural rattan pieces are indoor only — prolonged exposure to moisture, rain, or direct sunlight will cause them to weaken and deteriorate.
    Both natural and synthetic rattan wipe clean with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. For natural rattan, keep it away from excess moisture and store indoors. For synthetic rattan garden pieces, a gentle clean with soapy water and a soft brush is ideal. Rattan naturally improves in character over time with light use.
    Most pieces require light assembly. Each product listing specifies whether assembly is required and how involved it is. Clear, illustrated instructions are included in every box. No specialist tools are needed — a standard screwdriver is sufficient for most items. Assembly details are also listed in the Dimensions & Materials section of each product page.
    We photograph our pieces in natural light to represent colour and texture as accurately as possible. For natural rattan and wood, tonal variation is an inherent characteristic of the material — no two pieces are identical, and subtle differences in grain or weave are a sign of authenticity, not a defect. Screen calibration can also affect how colours appear, but we aim to represent every piece honestly.
