The Belgrave Corner Cabinet is a tall corner cabinet in white-painted MDF — open shelving on the upper section and a two-door enclosed cabinet at the base with woven rattan cane panels. Six shelves in total, each rated to 11.3 kg, divide storage between two registers: the three open shelves suit books, plants, and displayed objects; the two internal shelves behind the rattan doors handle items best kept concealed. The 90° base design anchors directly into a room corner, supported against two walls.

Rattan Piece
The corner is the most consistently underused surface in any room — the angle creates a blind spot that furniture rarely addresses well, and the options that do are usually too shallow, too bulky, or too purely functional to justify the floor area. The Belgrave Corner Cabinet occupies that space at full height, 162 cm, and divides the storage between two distinct registers. The upper section — 81 cm of open shelving — holds objects worth looking at: books, a trailing plant, framed pieces leaning before being hung, or the small accumulation of things that needs a considered surface. The lower section, enclosed behind rattan cane doors, handles what does not need to be on display: cleaning supplies in a living room, linens in a bedroom, dry goods in a kitchen. The two sections address different needs without the piece feeling conflicted between them. The 90° base fits directly into a corner, anchoring against two walls — a stable configuration that does not require wall fixings and does not shift.
The base is engineered to a precise 90° angle, designed to sit flush against two perpendicular walls simultaneously. This gives the cabinet a natural anchor point — corner contact provides lateral stability that a freestanding unit placed against a single wall does not. The configuration works in any standard right-angle corner: living room alcove, bathroom recess, bedroom corner. No wall fixings required for standard use.
The Belgrave divides at its midpoint into two functionally distinct sections. The upper 81 cm is open — three shelves, visible, suited to books, plants, and objects on display. The lower 81 cm is enclosed behind rattan cane doors — two internal shelves, concealed, suited to items best stored out of sight. The division is structural and reflects a deliberate choice: display above, storage below.
The two doors of the lower cabinet are fitted with woven rattan cane panels set into the white-painted MDF frame. The natural cane weave contrasts with the painted ground — a detail that prevents the base from reading as a blank box, and introduces material warmth against the white. Doors open to a full 90°, providing unobstructed access to the internal shelves, and close flush against the frame.
