The Kingsmere is a tall floor-standing shoe cabinet with multiple rattan-front doors providing enclosed shoe storage at entrance-hall scale. The cabinet is approximately 100cm tall with three or four door sections stacked vertically — each section provides a tilt-out or shelf compartment for two to three pairs of shoes.

The door panels carry woven rattan or cane mesh insets. The body is MDF or particleboard in a white or light wood finish. Gold or black metal handles on each door. Approximate total capacity: 12–15 pairs.

A shoe cabinet at 100cm is a serious piece of hallway furniture. The Kingsmere earns that height — three or four door sections stacked vertically, each with a woven rattan mesh inset, providing 12 to 15 pairs of enclosed shoe storage without the cabinet looking like a filing system.

The rattan mesh runs consistently across all door panels, so the tall format reads as a unified front rather than stacked boxes. The 30cm depth fits in narrow hallways. The tilt-out compartments let you see and select shoes from eye level rather than reaching to the back of a shelf.

Yes — we deliver to all mainland UK addresses. All pieces are held in our UK warehouse, so there are no overseas wait times. Delivery is free on every order, with no minimum spend.
Orders are dispatched within 1 working day (Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays). Once dispatched, delivery takes 1–3 working days. The estimated total time from placing your order is 2 to 4 working days. Orders placed before 3:00 PM (GMT) on a working day are processed the same day.

You will receive two emails: a confirmation email immediately after placing your order, and a dispatch email once your parcel has been handed to the carrier — this second email includes your tracking number so you can follow your delivery at every step.

Returns & Refunds

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return, with no need to give a reason. Items must be returned unused, unassembled, undamaged, and in their original packaging with proof of purchase. Please contact us at cs@rattanandrefined.co.uk before sending anything back — returns sent without prior approval cannot be processed.
If you are returning an item because you've changed your mind, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. However, if your item arrived damaged, faulty, or incorrect, we will arrange and cover collection at no cost to you.
Please email us at cs@rattanandrefined.co.uk as soon as possible with your order number and clear photos of the damage. We will assess the situation and arrange a replacement, exchange, or full refund — including free collection of the damaged item.
Once your returned item has been received and inspected, we will notify you by email. If approved, your refund is processed to your original payment method. Depending on your bank or payment provider, refunds typically appear within 7 to 14 working days of us receiving the return.

Products & Materials

Natural rattan is sourced from the rattan palm and brings organic warmth and texture to an interior. Tonal variation between pieces is a natural characteristic, not a defect. It is best suited to indoor environments, away from prolonged moisture or direct sunlight.

Synthetic (PE) rattan is a premium polyethylene weave engineered to resist UV, moisture, and heavy use without fading or warping. It has all the refinement of natural rattan and is suitable for both indoors and outdoors. Each product listing specifies which material it uses.
Only pieces specifically described as suitable for outdoor use in their product listing should be placed outside. These are made with synthetic PE rattan, which is weatherproof and UV-resistant. Natural rattan pieces are indoor only — prolonged exposure to moisture, rain, or direct sunlight will cause them to weaken and deteriorate.
Both natural and synthetic rattan wipe clean with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. For natural rattan, keep it away from excess moisture and store indoors. For synthetic rattan garden pieces, a gentle clean with soapy water and a soft brush is ideal. Rattan naturally improves in character over time with light use.
Most pieces require light assembly. Each product listing specifies whether assembly is required and how involved it is. Clear, illustrated instructions are included in every box. No specialist tools are needed — a standard screwdriver is sufficient for most items. Assembly details are also listed in the Dimensions & Materials section of each product page.
We photograph our pieces in natural light to represent colour and texture as accurately as possible. For natural rattan and wood, tonal variation is an inherent characteristic of the material — no two pieces are identical, and subtle differences in grain or weave are a sign of authenticity, not a defect. Screen calibration can also affect how colours appear, but we aim to represent every piece honestly.
