    The Sandringham is a nine-piece outdoor dining set in poly rattan — four armchairs, four matching footstools, and a 110 × 110 cm glass-top table that seats eight. Each armchair features a foldable backrest that locks flat against its footstool for compact, space-saving storage.

    The PE rattan is weather-resistant, UV-stable, and easy to clean with a damp cloth. Cushion covers are water-resistant and zip off for washing.

    A closer look at The Sandringham Outdoor Dining Set

    The Sandringham was designed around a practical reality: that a garden set for eight needs to work when all eight are present, and disappear gracefully when they are not. Four armchairs and four footstools — each chair's backrest folds flat against its stool, compressing the pair into a compact unit that stores in a fraction of the space a conventional garden chair requires.

    The poly rattan is a polyethylene weave developed specifically for outdoor conditions — UV-stable, weather-resistant, and easy to clean with a damp cloth. The cushion covers zip off entirely for washing. The 110 cm square glass table provides a generous dining surface at a proper 74 cm height.

    If you are returning an item because you've changed your mind, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. However, if your item arrived damaged, faulty, or incorrect, we will arrange and cover collection at no cost to you.
    Please email us at cs@rattanandrefined.co.uk as soon as possible with your order number and clear photos of the damage. We will assess the situation and arrange a replacement, exchange, or full refund — including free collection of the damaged item.

    Products & Materials

    Natural rattan is sourced from the rattan palm and brings organic warmth and texture to an interior. Tonal variation between pieces is a natural characteristic, not a defect. It is best suited to indoor environments, away from prolonged moisture or direct sunlight.

    Synthetic (PE) rattan is a premium polyethylene weave engineered to resist UV, moisture, and heavy use without fading or warping. It has all the refinement of natural rattan and is suitable for both indoors and outdoors. Each product listing specifies which material it uses.
    Only pieces specifically described as suitable for outdoor use in their product listing should be placed outside. These are made with synthetic PE rattan, which is weatherproof and UV-resistant. Natural rattan pieces are indoor only — prolonged exposure to moisture, rain, or direct sunlight will cause them to weaken and deteriorate.
    Both natural and synthetic rattan wipe clean with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. For natural rattan, keep it away from excess moisture and store indoors. For synthetic rattan garden pieces, a gentle clean with soapy water and a soft brush is ideal. Rattan naturally improves in character over time with light use.
    Most pieces require light assembly. Each product listing specifies whether assembly is required and how involved it is. Clear, illustrated instructions are included in every box. No specialist tools are needed — a standard screwdriver is sufficient for most items. Assembly details are also listed in the Dimensions & Materials section of each product page.
    We photograph our pieces in natural light to represent colour and texture as accurately as possible. For natural rattan and wood, tonal variation is an inherent characteristic of the material — no two pieces are identical, and subtle differences in grain or weave are a sign of authenticity, not a defect.
