    Most mirrors resolve to a single material — a reflective surface in a frame. The Rosewood divides differently: the upper portion of the circle is mirror, the lower is woven rattan cane. The horizontal division creates two distinct surfaces within one continuous circular form, a composition that reads as a considered object rather than a standard wall fixture.

    The circular wood frame holds both elements at the same depth, 2.5 cm, with no visible seam between the glass and the rattan panel. From across a room, the piece reads as a complete circle; close up, the division between reflection and texture becomes clear. The rattan cane in the lower half is handwoven — the natural variation in the fibres prevents it from reading as a flat pattern, and the weave catches light differently as the angle of view shifts.

    At 61 cm diameter, the mirror section provides a usable reflective surface for daily use. The lower rattan panel brings the natural material language of the collection into a form that does not typically feature it.

    Products & Materials

    Natural rattan is sourced from the rattan palm and brings organic warmth and texture to an interior. Tonal variation between pieces is a natural characteristic, not a defect. It is best suited to indoor environments, away from prolonged moisture or direct sunlight.

    Synthetic (PE) rattan is a premium polyethylene weave engineered to resist UV, moisture, and heavy use without fading or warping. It has all the refinement of natural rattan and is suitable for both indoors and outdoors. Each product listing specifies which material it uses.
    Only pieces specifically described as suitable for outdoor use in their product listing should be placed outside. These are made with synthetic PE rattan, which is weatherproof and UV-resistant. Natural rattan pieces are indoor only — prolonged exposure to moisture, rain, or direct sunlight will cause them to weaken and deteriorate.
    Both natural and synthetic rattan wipe clean with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. For natural rattan, keep it away from excess moisture and store indoors. For synthetic rattan garden pieces, a gentle clean with soapy water and a soft brush is ideal. Rattan naturally improves in character over time with light use.
    Most pieces require light assembly. Each product listing specifies whether assembly is required and how involved it is. Clear, illustrated instructions are included in every box. No specialist tools are needed — a standard screwdriver is sufficient for most items. Assembly details are also listed in the Dimensions & Materials section of each product page.
    We photograph our pieces in natural light to represent colour and texture as accurately as possible. For natural rattan and wood, tonal variation is an inherent characteristic of the material — no two pieces are identical, and subtle differences in grain or weave are a sign of authenticity, not a defect.
