The Rosewood Round Mirror is a circular wall mirror in a solid wood frame — the upper portion of the circle is reflective glass, the lower portion is woven rattan cane. Round Mirror
Most mirrors resolve to a single material — a reflective surface in a frame. The Rosewood divides differently: the upper portion of the circle is mirror, the lower is woven rattan cane. The horizontal division creates two distinct surfaces within one continuous circular form, a composition that reads as a considered object rather than a standard wall fixture. The circular wood frame holds both elements at the same depth, 2.5 cm, with no visible seam between the glass and the rattan panel. From across a room, the piece reads as a complete circle; close up, the division between reflection and texture becomes clear. The rattan cane in the lower half is handwoven — the natural variation in the fibres prevents it from reading as a flat pattern, and the weave catches light differently as the angle of view shifts. At 61 cm diameter, the mirror section provides a usable reflective surface for daily use. The lower rattan panel brings the natural material language of the collection into a form that does not typically feature it.

The lower semi-circular section is filled with handwoven rattan cane — natural fibre woven in a traditional grid pattern and recessed within the wood frame at the same depth as the mirror surface, keeping the front face flat. The natural variation in the cane fibres means no two areas of the weave read identically; the panel catches and disperses light differently as the viewing angle shifts, giving the lower section a visual quality that a painted or lacquered surface does not have.
The outer frame is a continuous circle in solid wood — 61 cm in diameter and 2.5 cm deep. Wide enough to read as a frame rather than a border, and to give the circular form visual weight against the wall. The medium walnut tone is warm without being red, positioning the piece comfortably against cream, linen, and stone wall colours. Two black metal hooks on the reverse allow direct wall mounting without hardware visible from the front.
