Rattan & Refined
Complete the set
The Constance Rattan Mirror is an asymmetric wall mirror with a continuous woven rattan-weave border — an irregular organic form at H 85 × W 60 cm that functions as both a practical mirror and a wall decoration. The frame is wood with fir veneer, finished with rattan weave running the full perimeter of the outline. The 4mm aluminium mirror provides clear, undistorted reflection across the full surface. Two metal hooks and expansion screws are included for wall mounting.

Wall Mirror
Most mirrors resolve to a rectangle or a circle — shapes that organise a wall without asking anything of it. The Constance takes a different outline: an irregular asymmetric form that leans slightly, widens at one point, and narrows at another — a silhouette that reads as deliberate rather than merely decorative. The woven rattan-weave border runs the full perimeter of the frame, following every curve of the irregular outline. Against a painted wall, the natural tone of the weave introduces texture rather than contrast — it reflects warm light rather than blocking it, and sits differently to a metal or lacquered wood frame in the same position. At 85 × 60 cm, the reflective area is large enough for daily use — hair, outfit, face — without the piece needing to justify itself on functional grounds alone. The 4mm aluminium mirror provides a clear, undistorted image. The asymmetric form reads as intended only when hung vertically, and two wall hooks with expansion screws are included for installation.
The Constance is cut to an irregular asymmetric outline — wider at one point, narrower at another, with no axis of symmetry. On a wall, the shape reads as an object rather than a standard fixture, drawing the eye in the way a framed artwork does. The form must be hung vertically; that orientation places the asymmetry as intended and prevents the outline from reading as accidental.
A continuous woven rattan-weave border runs the full perimeter of the frame, following the irregular outline from edge to edge. Set into a wood frame finished with fir veneer in a natural tone, the weave introduces texture and warmth without the visual weight of a solid or lacquered frame — allowing light to filter through parts of the border rather than being blocked by it entirely.
The reflective surface is a 4mm aluminium mirror — thicker than the 3mm standard found in lower-cost alternatives, and calibrated to produce a sharp, undistorted image across the full 85 × 60 cm surface. The additional thickness reduces the minor colour shift and edge distortion that thinner mirrors produce, making the Constance suitable for daily use rather than purely decorative placement.
